Relatively Speaking: Programmes

This page contains reproductions of the original programmes for the world premiere of Alan Ayckbourn's play, Relatively Speaking, at the Library Theatre, Scarborough in 1963 and its subsequent transfer to the West End in 1967 as well as Alan Ayckbourn's revivals for Leeds Art Theatre (1970) and the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough (1977).

Note how Ginny's name changes from Gina (world premiere) to Virginia (West End premiere) to Ginny (revivals).
The West End programme only contains essential pages relating to the actual production rather than the entire programme.
The 1970 revival was an amateur production staged in Leeds - but it also marked the first time that Alan Ayckbourn had directed the play; this was done as a favour to Leeds Arts Theatre while Alan was living and working in Leeds.
